Halfway through 2015, it seems as good a time as any to take stock of what’s happened so far this year and to see what’s in store for the coming months.
The sixth Kate Redman novel, Echo, was published in April 2015 and is still selling well with some great reviews. I had planned to leave the series there while I worked on a new series but a couple of lovely new plots occurred to me and so I decided to press on with writing book 7 in the series, Creed, which has just gone on for sale on pre-order and will be published on 4th August 2015.
The eight in the Kate Redman series is currently being written, due for publication in autumn 2015.
The audiobook of Hushabye (the first in the series) is available at Audible and the second, Requiem, is now in production. The plan is to get all the Kate Redman series adapted for audio but it’s a slow and expensive process, so you’ll have to bear with me!
I’ve been anxious to start working on the first in a brand new series of full length historical mysteries, set in the 1930s and starring the servant sleuths of Death at the Manor, Joan Hart and Verity Hunter. This is was originally due for release in summer 2015, with at least three books planned for the series. Anyone who enjoys the Golden Age of detective fiction should enjoy these (I hope!) but due to Kate’s new adventures, I’m planning to finish what I’ve started during NaNoWriMo this year – National Novel Writing Month – so hopefully the book itself (working title Murder at Merisham Lodge) should be out by December or January 2016.
As well as the projects above, I would love to be able to either get out a Halloween novella (I have a wonderful Barbados ghost story that needs to be written) or perhaps an Asharton Manor Mystery for Christmas. However, as is usual, life tends to get in the way so we’ll see if I manage those as well…
